The maker behind the hands, knowing the maker behind the hands making. I am paraphrasing but I recently read this in a fantastic, inspirational new magazine called Atlas. It was one sentence that struck my soul. In the age of big box stores, mass production and factory made items I find myself craving to stop and take a step back, look and think. Who is the person making this? How did they get there? How did they learn this skill? If you ask, you may be pleasantly surprised.
